About weevils
Grain weevils and other stored-product pests infest maize, rice, beans, wheat and flour, breeding inside kernels. For households they spoil food; for cereal shops, millers and stores they cause serious stock losses and rejected produce.
Signs to look for
- Small dark beetles in stored grain or flour
- Grains with tiny round exit holes
- Fine dust (frass) at the bottom of containers
- Clumping or webbing in flour and rice
Our treatment approach
We inspect and identify the infestation source, fumigate stores and silos with approved fumigants under controlled sealing, treat cracks and shelving with residual insecticide, and set up preventive monitoring for commercial grain handlers.
How to prepare for treatment
- Separate and seal infested stock for inspection
- Empty and clean store shelving where possible
- Plan fumigation for a period the store can stay sealed (24–72 hrs)
Safety & environment
Fumigation is carried out only by certified technicians with warning signage and air clearance testing before re-entry. Treated food-contact surfaces are cleaned to food-safety standards.
Pricing: most residential weevil & stored-product pest control jobs range from KSh 3,500 depending on property size and infestation level. Request a free quote.
