Bee Removal & Relocation in Nairobi

Honeybee swarm clustered on a tree branch near a roof

About bees

African honeybees form swarms and build hives in roof cavities, water meter boxes, tree hollows and wall voids. They are vital pollinators — but a defensive colony near a home, school or business is a genuine safety risk.

Signs to look for

  • A hanging cluster of bees on a branch or eave
  • Steady bee traffic in and out of a wall or roof gap
  • Humming sound inside a wall or ceiling
  • Honey stains seeping through ceilings in old hives

Our treatment approach

Our first option is always live removal: we smoke and box the colony, remove comb, and relocate the bees to apiaries outside the city. Where relocation is impossible we carry out controlled treatment at night when bees are calm, then seal entry points and remove all comb to prevent re-colonisation.

How to prepare for treatment

Safety & environment

Bee work is done in full bee suits, usually early morning or evening. Stay indoors during removal. Tell us in advance if anyone on site is allergic to stings.

Pricing: most residential bee removal & relocation jobs range from KSh 3,500 depending on property size and infestation level. Request a free quote.
